Panda Class enjoyed their visit to Holy Trinity Church last week. We were able to identify many of the key features of this ‘Special Place’ for Christians, including the organ, pews, the pulpit, the altar and the lectern.
Year 2
On Monday 13 Year Two children took part in the Key Stage 1 Tennis Festival at Earls Colne Recreation Ground. They had a great time and enjoyed practising their tennis skills. They represented our school brilliantly- well done!
Our Science for this half term is ‘Animals Including Humans’ we have been looking at how to stay healthy. This afternoon we conducted an investigation to find the best way of cleaning the germs from our hands. Next we shall be looking at creating a healthy lunch!

In the second of their computer art lessons this year, Toucan Class used the Impressionist option in Purple Mash’s 2Paint-A-Picture to portray the colour and movement of fire. This ties in with their study of the Great Fire of London.
As is tradition, Toucan Clas spent their first full Computing Lesson of the year painting Toucans! They’re displayed below, and for a while on the outside screen. Watch out for more computer art from the class over the coming weeks.
