What an amazing day! We had a lot of fun trying to hold up the extremely heavy chain mail tunic, ground some flour, tried on clothing and helmets, played Hnefatafl and Nine Men’s Morris, learnt some Viking commands for battle and so much more!

Today, Year 4 investigated complete and incomplete circuits by first predicting which circuit would work. They discovered what a circuit needs to be complete in order to allow the current of electricity to flow.
Year 4 have been outside today creating their own angles using sticks and chalking on the playground whilst identifying obtuse, acute and right-angles.
Year 4 have been learning to tell the time to specific minutes, converting 12hr to 24hr time and solving time related problems. Many have realised how important it is to be able to tell the time – especially, analogue!

Year 4 were asked which chocolate will melt the fastest. They investigated dark, milk and white chocolate by first creating a prediction then analysing their results to compare. They found that most people said the white chocolate was the quickest to melt and that the dark chocolate melted the slowest. […]
